Most memorable N/MH experience/s: could be "feasting" on Saturday nights after lights out and/or sneaking out of the dorm or something like the thunder and lightning at Christmas Vespers or a significant athletic triumph. What do you remember that brings a big smile to your face?:
Smoking in the woods and in the attic of the dorm.
Peeling potatoes every morning.
Squib.
Rabble.
Other ner-do-wells - you know who you are.
I was at MH for only one year, 62-63, and the few who remember me might not like to be reminded. But MH is very memorable to me. I think I appear in the class '64 yearbook: I'm in the picture of the guys smoking in the woods. I was a rabble and nego (Winston Mongomery recently reminded me of the terms)and usually in trouble. I know (and knew) that many teachers and staff tried to help me, but I was incorrigible.
Was same kind of guy at Miami U of Ohio. Lots more fun, let me tell you!
Then the Army got me - and straightened me out. It's an old story, how the military can correct the incorrigible.
Then I went back to school, got a PhD in math (my ever-easiest subject),and ended up doing industrial research at Rockwell Science Center in Thousand Oaks CA. I'm now retired and living in my old home town, Akron, Ohio. I hang around the math depts of UA and Kent State, and drink beer in the evenings, as right now. Cheers!
